I will publish a question from an FCAT preparation test question, along with the answer selection. (Later). All you
physics & science teachers will be amazed at the fact that there is no correct answer, yet the officially
"correct" answer is completely wrong.

If your kids are going to take the FCAT,
make sure that they have an effective and easy way to succeed.
OK, I won't help you to cheat, but I have scoured the
internet to find retired tests that you can use for practice. Click on any of the "Grade" links on the left
navigation bar to get yours - FREE. Yup, I got them for free and am passing on the 100% savings to you. They are provided by a
state agency and are collected here because the last time they were moved I had to search all over to find
them.
Parents/guardians/owners: I have collected
genuine FCAT tests for grades 3 through 10 that you can download for free, print, and try out on your
students. Answers are included. If they can pass these "trial" tests, they should have no problem
passing the upcoming FCAT tests.

To those who wrote - here is my FCAT attack idea.
My idea to stop the FCAT is
was simply this:
If a large enough number of parents, students, teachers, and administrators said NO to FCAT, it
would not be a problem. See below for method.
The fact is, if a child is held back for one year, his/her probability of graduating from 12th grade drops to 50%;
if retained a second year, the graduations drop to about 1%.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. has one of the lowest-quality results of any
industrialized country. Florida is near the bottom of the 50 states in educational quality.
Seriously, how hard can it be to pass a 10th grade level test by the time you have "attended" school to grade
12? Has there been any research done on the test? For example, how about having a school district in one of the
"smarter" states do the FCAT, without ANY preparation, and compare results. I think I know the answer. They'll
embarrass us completely. The problem is not with the FCAT, it is with FLORIDA. Teaching to the test is bullshit.
Our more capable students are held back from learning; their time is wasted waiting for the slower students to be
prodded sufficiently for the schools to garner a little FCAT cash.
A fine indicator of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. Why not
send a delegation of experts to a high performing state to see how it is done correctly? Even better - take the
FCAT money currently being wasted terrorizing our 8-year-olds and condemning them to failure and HIRING A
DELEGATION of experts from ANOTHER STATE to tell us how to do educate our children. Obviously, we have not been
successful in the past and are not successful in the present. We will continue to fail our children rather than
look at a truthful solution. Sure, there has been some FCAT score improvement, but much is due to repeats (who WILL
decline in two years to be behind a grade again), or success from "test was too easy" problems, which also proves
the test is not infallible.

WAKE UP, FLORIDA! Are we STUPID?

Our wonderful government has magnanimously decided not
to retroactively DEMOTE students who "would have otherwise failed."
That sure was kind of them. "Hey, little Bob, you did
rather well in 4th grade this year, 2007, but since we made last year's FCAT too easy, we are making you
repeat grade 3 again. It's all for the best. We care about your education.
Kids, I'm sorry, but your parents are either STUPID or COWARDS for letting their "public
servants" ruin your education with the FCAT. Some of you were up vomiting the night
before the FCAT, not sleeping, and yet your parents forced you to take the FCAT
the very next day.
Never fear. The government is always right. The government formerly
allowed slavery because the government knows what is best for the
people.
Escaped slaves were required by law to be returned to their owners. Helping
slaves escape to the North was AGAINST THE LAW!
When free white people helped slaves escape, many were caught and brought to
trial, and the evidence was inescapable, but the juries REFUSED TO CONVICT them. Back then, men (no women on
juries yet) still had testosterone. They knew the government was wrong and these men decided to stand up
for what they knew was right.
Today, children are the slaves. They are used to make money. Make no mistake,
the FCAT is a big moneymaker. Children are the ones damaged. Kids - if your parents allow you to be forced to
take the FCAT, and you fail and are subsequently retained only one grade, perhaps 3rd grade, your chance of
graduating 12th grade will have dropped to about 50%. BTW, "retained" is a polite word for "FAILURE". If you
FAIL twice, your chance of graduating from 12th grade will be less than 1%. That's right, 99 out of 100 such
students WILL NOT GRADUATE FROM 12TH GRADE.
TOO BAD YOUR PARENTS DON'T CARE ENOUGH ABOUT YOU TO KEEP YOU HOME DURING THE
FCAT. When King Herrod ordered his soldiers to kill all male children under two years old, your parents
would have been the ones at the front door calling out "YOO-HOO! Mister Soldier... I have a 1-year-old boy in
here!!" "Stop your whining... the soldier is only following orders - he has to do his job -- and we certainly
don't want to offend the King."
Another simple word on the stupidity factor: IT HAS BEEN
ADMITTED that the test in 2006 was FLAWED! Too easy, too hard - no matter - it is subject to
massive error and should be immediately eliminated. Subject to error means your children
suffer.
DO YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN?

The FCAT does not improve our educational quality.
Florida is at or near the bottom of the 50 states; the 50 states rank near the bottom of the
rest of the world. We need better education -- not a misused test. (Update 2008, newspaper says Florida not quite so low in rank now. Always trust
newspapers.)
In the past, America was near #1 in educational quality, worldwide.

Too bad nothing ever came of it. The government is laughing.
FCAT is an acronym that stands for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. Some
say it stands for Forget College After This. This high-stakes standardized test is
administered to students attending Florida public schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
The webmaster for StopTheFCAT.com is a professional Florida certified teacher and has personally administered
this test at the middle school and high school levels, and has firsthand experience in the preparation for
and administration of this test.
One of the definitions of insanity is continuing to do the exact same thing over and over and
expecting a different result. The FCAT will remain with us, decimating our children until such time that people
take action themselves instead of waiting for someone else to do it for them -- while they are busy watching
television. (Speaking of insanity, I almost forgot to buy a lottery ticket - support education, duh!)

site is here so that YOU will see that the will of the people is to remove the FCAT, but only a few
have the courage to do anything about it.
This web site is dedicated primarily to the innocent children of the state of
Florida who are being traumatized and who will have their
education permanently damaged by the FCAT. Yes, I did say "permanently". This site is also dedicated to Florida's overworked and
underpaid teachers, school administrators and district personnel, whose best efforts in the education of our
children are being diverted from their primary responsibility of educating our children to the advancement of
special interest and political agenda. It is the intention of this web site to identify and expose the extent
and seriousness of the problems caused by the FCAT and to suggest a range of reasonable possible actions to
address this insane situation. This is not expected to be an easy task considering that the propaganda
machine supporting the FCAT in its current manifestation is deep-seated, highly motivated and
